Description
Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management on SAP S 4Hana Public Cloud.

Review a project using EPPM solution then we will look at Resources business scenarios and Understand how timesheets are managed. Then we’ll look into purchase process, materials and services to the project, followed by carrying out some sales order billing, which would lead to revenue recognition.

And then we’ll finish off by looking at project collaboration, ability to share information with external resources.

So instead of creating a project, we’ll start by reviewing a project and we’ll look at the project header details, the project plan, how we can manage the planned costs of the project.

Understand the Proposal management,

Learn the concept of Portfolio Management, High-level financial and capacity planning,

Detailing that out, handing over to the project management, doing staffing of project demands with individuals, tracking,

The execution of projects then through, Change management, Issue management, Risk management and so on.

Enterprise Project Portfolio Management, is used in many different ways, and we can, I think, cluster the type of projects and our customers that are using EPPM, actually use it for innovation projects, so mainly managing R&D projects, but also engineering projects, capital projects, so everywhere where you have to build assets for your production EPPM can be used actually to manage the investment budget here, and to track the costs and progress of these capital projects. IT projects, so mainly for internal IT projects of your IT organisation, they use EPPM. And the fourth category is about actually commercial projects, so everywhere where you have a revenue stream in your projects, where you’re selling project to a customer, and that example, you need to track the profitability of a project, you need to track progress so that you can build actually the customer accordingly.

So, you see actually four large project types that we see in our customer base today, and where EPPM is used. So, let’s dive a little bit into the solution capabilities and just have here a quick solution or an overview, and we will dive into the first part here, so we’ll actually look into portfolio management and preparing portfolio decisions. We’ll actually also then see how you can plan, set up and plan projects on a technical operational level.
